Where do you work right now/what have you been up to since graduation?

I work for Maritz Global Events as a Travel Director, spending 200+ days on the road executing on-site event operations for business and travel programs across the globe.

What's your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite part of my job is that no day is ever the same. In my role, I work face to face with guests to genuinely create memorable moments of hospitality and unforgettable experiences for every attendee.

What's your favorite thing about the city you live in?

I love living in Chicago for many reasons, but the community culture is what drew me in. Chicago brings in so many different types of people from all over the world and everyone is eager to find a way to connect. Between local concerts, sporting events or hanging by the lake, your days in the Windy City  will never be dull. Not to mention the food scene is incredible.

What do you do in your free time?

In my free time I can typically be found walking along the Lakefront Trail, finding a new coffee spot or trying out new Trader Joe’s 5 ingredients or less meals.

Other future career/life goals:

Right now I love my life and the role I have working in travel hospitality. I hope to continue finding ways to push myself to explore new places and meet different types of people. Also, I look forward to expanding and developing my life in Chicago.

What do you miss most about Mizzou?

Never again am I going to be in such close proximity to all of my friends. I really miss meeting up with friends after class on The

Heidelberg patio or taking morning coffee walks together on MKT. Truly cherish those moments of having so many friends just a walk or short drive away.

What do you miss most about Theta?

I loved late nights living in the house. There were so many nights I would walk downstairs and end up in the most random but hilarious hour-long living room couch convos or TV Room movie nights. Whether you wanted to watch a Chiefs game, make a sweet treat trip to Mizzou Market or just find someone to help you study for your next exam, there was always a girl to join you in

your venture.

What is one thing you took away from being a part of Theta in college that has shaped you into the woman you are today?

One thing that I think is especially unique to Theta is the cross-membership class connections. When I first joined, I was worried that the older girls would not want to get to know me because I was a freshman, however, my pledge family and membership directors made me feel so welcome and important. I instantly felt that I found my place in Theta, and I work to pay this forward with the next generations of girls. We even just had a Chicago Theta meet up across 4 different membership classes, proving that these friendships go beyond college.

Do you have a specific favorite Theta memory?/Anything else you'd like to add?

Some of my favorite Theta memories involve my friends and I going to trips to Mizzou away games and spring breaks together. Even though my Theta friends live across 5 different cities, I feel lucky that we still make an effort to see each other on reunion trips, have book club chats and now we have our first wedding in the group.  I’m so grateful we get to share in these exciting life moments together.
