Thetas can be found in a wide variety of organizations on MU's campus. They sit on executive committees, head teams, and lead groups. Leadership can mean many things, and it is not limited to an official office or position. It can be the ability to guide, direct, or influence people. Theta believes that leadership is a commitment to the widest influence for good. All members of our organization are called upon to be leaders in the classroom, community, on teams, in the chapter, and beyond. We provide many opportunities to be leaders in the chapter, and encourage our sisters to be involved and lead on campus.

An important part of being involved on campus is the connections it creates for our members. We have found that we grow when we push ourselves beyond our comfort zones and meet those that differ from ourselves. We have also discovered that Theta sisters can be found around every corner of Mizzou's Campus. Above is Abby Chew (MC '18) and Emily Vogel (MC '17) participating in MizzouThon.

One of Kappa Alpha Theta's core values is leadership potential. As Leading Women, our members enjoy leading others on campus whenever they can. Above, Britt Smith (MC '17) works as a Summer Welcome Leader during Summer 2016. "There is something so special about playing a role in incoming students lives, yet as much as I tried to give, I got so much more," Smith said. "I met students from all walks of life and became a more understanding, empathetic, and strong woman. My sisters in Theta supported me through the entire journey and some even served by my side. I wouldn’t trade this school or the people I’ve met for the world."

Mizzou is a school known for it's numerous traditions; whether it be Homecoming, Tiger Walk, kissing the 50 on Faurot Field or giving David R. Francis' nose a rub for good luck, our members love participating in and facilitating Mizzou traditions in order to serve our university. Our members also enjoy picking up Greek Town, visiting the local food bank or humane society together or joining organizations such as Mizzou for Malawi, College Mentors for Kids or International Justice Mission to serve the Columbia community and beyond.
