Twin Star Ball
In March, the Thetas get all dressed up for the Twin Star Ball formal event. In years past, the event has been held at the Capital Plaza in Jefferson City or the local country club.
Hayride
A causal event that is always a fall Theta favorite! Theta’s and their dates are bused out to a field where they can sit by the campfire or go out on a hayride.
Golden Kite Gala
As first semester wraps up, the Thetas go for the glitz and glam for the annual semi-formal and night of dancing.
Kite, Key and Anchor
Our annual themed date party with the women of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Delta Gamma in the spring.
Valentine’s Party
Annually, the Theta’s bring in Valentines Day with their date and the women of Pi Beta Phi.
Marriage and Divorce Parties
Before Homecoming and Greek Week begin, the Theta’s must “marry” the men of their pairing with a themed party. Then when all the fun is wrapped up, we celebrate with a “divorce” party.
Mom’s Weekend
A weekend each spring set aside to spend time with your favorite lady. The weekend includes appetizers one night downtown, a luncheon and silent auction and a Saturday night special activity, oftentimes comedy at Déjà vu. A brunch and scholarship banquet at the house on Sunday caps off the weekend.
Dad’s Weekend
A weekend in the fall with dear old Dad. Friday night, the Theta’s have taken their dads out for bowling or comedy in the past. Saturday is filled with tailgating and a football game. Sunday morning, Theta’s enjoy brunch at the Theta house with their dads.
Dinner Exchanges
Throughout the year, the Theta’s swap for dinner with other sororities and fraternities. It’s a chance to mingle with other chapter members, see another house and enjoy a great meal.
Homecoming
Greek Town comes alive throughout October as the homecoming season is underway and dreams of pomping, mega blood drives, house decs, floats and skits fill the minds of many. Homecoming with the Theta’s always proves to be competitive, filled with late-night memories, laughs, skits, and dancing. Theta's place 1st overall in 2010 with the men of Alpha Gamma Sigma and Sigma Nu.
Greek Week
Greek Week falls in the spring every year. More aptly named, “Greek Month,” Greek Week is an April season of blood drives, skits and fierce intramural competition. The women of Kappa Alpha Theta were paired with the men of Beta Theta Pi and placed 1st place overall for Greek Week 2009.
RAMS
Rockin’ Against Multiple Sclerosis (RAMS) is a campus-wide philanthropy event where over $70,000 is raised for the multiple sclerosis research and care. The philanthropy is capped off with the Rock-it lip sync competition. Theta came in 1st place overall for RAMS 2009 and 2011.
